Tragic Accident Averted

The North Philadelphia Challengers left for Osh Kosh on Sunday, August 9. They met Brinklow's club and together they made the trip out to the midwest.

I received a message from one of the parents of the Pathfinders that the supplies truck and one other vehicle had been in an accident. When I called to speak with Tony Campbell, the club director, he said that the Lord truly intervened. Both vehicles somehow or another veered into oncoming traffic . . . but no one was killed or seriously injured. Later on one of the deputy directors, Dave Guischard, indicated the driver of the Neon flipped her car. (One testimony is that it flipped three times.)

The devil had a different outcome intended for them. But we serve a mighty, mighty, mighty, mighty, mighty good God!

To show how awesome God is, not only were those in the accidents okay. The truck that was in the accident was a Penske truck. The scene of the accident was five minutes from a Penske truck rental place. They were able to transfer the supplies from the wrecked truck to a replacement and keep on "truckin'."

Let's continue to keep them in our prayers. They are moving into the weekend and a time of corporate worship. No doubt young people from all over will be recommitting themselves to Christ. There are also young people who are members of our clubs who have yet to make that decision to make Jesus Christ Lord of their lives. They will be in a "valley of decision" out there on that plain. May God use this experience to secure them for time and eternity.
